Background:
Micro and small size enterprise are a significant source of jobs and economic activity in Yemen. On its efforts to support SMEs growth and development, the Social Fund for Development (SFD) established the Yemen Loan Guarantee Program (YLG) in 2017. The YLG is a not-for-profit guarantee provider working under the umbrella of the SFD.
YLG objective is to increase the availability of financing to SMEs by offering partial credit guarantees and to establish a more trust-based credit culture within the commercial banking and microfinance sectors. It is envisioned that YLG will enable the banking sector to provide their financial services to a larger number of SMEs resulting in continued resilience and growth of enterprises, create jobs and support the recovery of economic activity in the country.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Working with YLG as an intern in your field of interest and as per YLG relevant scope of work in the field of microfinance, SMEs and guarantee provision.
Qualification and experience:
Diploma or University degree in any of the following fields: (Accounting, Banking & Finance sciences, Accounting Information Systems, Management, HR, Information Technology, communications, public relations, research and development, monitoring and evaluation, other related fields).

*YLG will use all interested candidates to develop a database which will be using throughout the year 2021 to choose candidates every 3 months. The interested applicants shall not wait until the deadline, as YLG will choose the interns for the first period parallelly with this announcement duration.
